Office Description/Functional Statement: The Office of Strategic Coordination (OSC), located in the NIH Office of the Director, manages the NIH Common Fund. The Common Fund supports bold scientific programs that catalyze discovery across all biomedical, social, and behavioral research. Our initiatives are intended to be high-impact and may accelerate emerging science, enhance the research workforce, or remove research roadblocks. OSC is seeking a part-time or full-time detailee (note that this an internal-to-NIH position) who would work as part of the OSC Strategic Planning, Evaluation, and Communications Team. The candidate would carry out strategic communication and evaluation efforts for a sub-group of Common Fund programs that range broadly in topic from acute and chronic pain to diversity of the NIH-funded workforce.
