Research Tools

The Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) program has transitioned from Common Fund support. For more information, please visit https://commonfund.nih.gov/promis/index. Please note that since the PROMIS program is no longer supported by the Common Fund, the program website is being maintained as an archive and will not be updated on a regular basis.

PROMIS measures can be used in clinical, observational, comparative effectiveness, health services and health policy research with both adults and pediatrics.

The Assessment Center is an online research management tool that can be used to collect PROMIS data. The system enables researchers to create study-specific websites for capturing participant data securely for PROMIS instruments. For researchers to access the PROMIS instruments registration is required.
